My computer is not turning on

There are all sorts of reasons why a computer won’t turn on. If you notice that your PC isn’t turning at all, no lights blinking, no fans running and nothing appearing on the screen, you might be experiencing a power supply issue -either internally or there’s no power coming to your computer. In this case, first thing you want to do is to try a different power source. Hence, plug your PC directly into a wall outlet you know is working or even try using a different power cable. If you are using a laptop, make sure your charger is plugged in properly and to the correct port and charge the battery for at least half-hour. Check the brightness is turned up, as well, as silly as it sounds.

If these steps fail, there might be a motherboard failure, or your computer may also have loose components inside. Furthermore, dust and water inside the PC might damage its delicate components preventing your PC to turn on. Occasionally, the computer will be turning on, but there’s a fault with the display or there are some unusual settings that are interfering with the boot sequence. It might also be the work of a particularly nasty piece of malware.
